Bed and Breakfast A Casa da Eira
A Casa da Eira is an ancient Galician farm house which has been completely restored respecting the traditional building material, wood and granite stone – without neglecting modern facilities such as central heating and hot water supply, en suite bathrooms, comfortable beds with cotton bed-clothes. The most out striking element of the house is its characteristic balcony – here we call it “corredor” - from which one can enjoy a view on the River Sil Canyon. It is the ideal place to provide shadow on hot summer days or end up an eventful day having a last glass of aguardiente. Whether you prefer to sit down to the breakfast table at the B&B or you are tempted by the possibility of self-catering in the apartments, both options will surprise you with its combination of ancient and new, tradition and innovation.
Equipment
The double rooms (135x200cm double bed) are spacious and comfortable with en suite bathroom. Four rooms are upstairs and face the garden, the fifth room is on the ground floor and has a private entrance. The generous common space invites to read, share the table and exchange experiences with other travellers or to have a Scrabble game at nightfall. The living room and dinning room (40m2) with fireplace on the ground floor and the two reading rooms on the intermediate and first floor – allow each guest to find “his/her” place and encourage to benefit from the free cafeteria-self-service with fair trade tea and coffee. The game collection and library also invite to have a rest. The garden, inspired in the old European country garden tradition, offers another alternative to relax.
